An advancement is something which extends the practical lifetime of the asset or raises its worth, in contrast into a maintenance which restores the asset to its past benefit or issue.  Advancements can include kitchen upgrades, new roof, new carpet, fixtures, along with other things which develop into long-lasting parts of the property.  (Not ap
